Meet the Team

Bella Given

Bella is the creator of Thyme & Tide Revitalising Retreats.  An idea born out of a desire to rebalance her life, to improve her health and wellbeing, and the realisation that other women with increasing work & family demands might also benefit from stepping away from the day to day to enjoy some time, space and focus on their wellbeing.  With a background in Psychology and Marketing she has some fascinating insights into how to change behaviours and thinking.

Louise Prosser

Louise is a qualified Sports Massage and Holistic Therapist, and Meditation Teacher. She is passionate about the therapies and classes that she provides and is driven by a desire to nurture her clients and aid their journey back to good health. Louise firmly believes that meditation and regular holistic therapy can act as a form of preventative health care, maintaining the body’s natural balance.

Imogen Rose

Imogen is a highly qualified Yoga teacher and complementary therapist. Her Yoga classes are vibrant and dynamic, aiming to build heat and energy in the body to aid in detox and purification of mind body and soul. Pranayama and meditation techniques are interwoven to create wholesome classes that light you up inside, opening the body and awakening the Pranic flow aiding in healthy digestion, raising energy levels, boosting immunity and circulation, increasing metabolism and setting a positive intention for the day.

Monday

Make a Start

4-6pm: Arrive at Longlands and leave the world behind. Embrace the simple life and learn the art of fire making!
7pm: Meet and greet your fellow retreatees in the Party Barn! Enjoy a laugh.  Share stories.  Forge friendships. A glass or two of pink fizz will oil the wheels and help with your first creative challenge: making your own wood fired pizza! 

Tuesday

Find Your Sparkle

8am: Morning Yoga in the Pavilion. Stretch your body.  Clear your mind.
9am: Breakfast in the barn
10am: Head off for some fun at Watermouth Harbour. Stand Up Paddle Boarding!
1.30pm: Lunch in the Barn
2.30-3.30pm: Mindfulness and meditation in the Pavilion
3.30pm: Tea time!
4-7pm: Time to Yourself. The Hot tub will be available and you can pre-book a relaxing treatment with Louise.
7pm: Mocktails in the barn
7.30pm: Supper with talk and discussion on improving vitality including: 
You are what you eat: super foods to super charge!
The elixir of life: maximising your intake!
The secrets to sleeping soundly.

Wednesday

Time to Shine

8am: Morning Yoga in the Pavilion. Stretch your body.  Clear your mind.
9am: Breakfast in the barn
10am: Head off for some excitement to Woolacombe. Surfing and body boarding!
1.30pm: Lunch in the Barn
2.30-3.30pm: Mindfulness and meditation in the Pavilion
3.30pm: Tea time!
4-7pm: Time to yourself. The Hot tub will be available and you can pre-book a relaxing treatment with Louise.
7pm: Mocktails in the barn
7.30pm: Supper with talk and discussion on creating calm including:
The power of nature.
Exploring what makes you tick and what sparks joy.
Make your environment a positive one: the impact of your surroundings

 

 

Thursday

Take Flight & Soar

8am: Morning Yoga in the Pavilion. Stretch your body.  Clear your mind.
9am: Breakfast in the barn
10am: Practice being mindful with a walk along Exmoor’s stunning coastline
1.30pm: Lunch in the barn and discussion on the importance of self care including; Small changes for big differences. The practice of gratitude: choosing to be happy. Planning for success and establishing healthy habits
2.30-3.30pm: Final mindful and meditation class
3.30pm: Tea time and farewells

What's Included

Accommodation in one of Longlands’ five luxurious lodges
If you book with a friend and opt to share the twin bedroom we will give you a discount of £25 each.  Book with 4 friends and fill a lodge, and we will give you a £200 group discount, or £50 each!  If you would like to specifically request a King bedroom there is a £50 supplement.  

Your meals and drinks for the duration of the retreat
We will treat you to a couple of glasses of fizz on your first night.  For the other two evenings of your stay we will serve everyone a Mocktail.  If you would like to enjoy a glass of wine you can purchase a full or demi bottle from the Longlands Larder, the on site shop.  Fruited iced water will be available at all times, as will coffee and a selection of herbal teas.

Daily yoga with Imogen to warm up your body and stretch ahead of the days activities

Activities & lessons with qualified instructors
Including Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Surfing or body boarding and a guided mindfulness walk along the beautiful Exmoor coast.

Daily meditation & mindfulness with Louise
To teach you to control your thoughts and calm your mind.

Hot Tub relaxation
Longlands magical hot tub, overlooking the lake and valley will be available from 4-7pm on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon.  

Talk & Discussions over dinner
Each day Bella will give a short talk and ask you to further discuss and explore its relevance to you over dessert. The daily topics include improving vitality, creating calm, the importance of self care.

What's Not Included

Your travel to Longlands
Once you are at Longlands you will not need a car. There will be a minibus to transport you to activities.  
If travelling by train the nearest train station, 9 miles away, is Barnstaple, but Tiverton Parkway, 40 miles away, may prove to be quicker and easier. We can help coordinate taxis from either station to share costs, but these are not included in your package.
If travelling by air our two nearest airports are Exeter, 57 miles away, and Bristol, 90 miles away.  
Should you decide to travel by car Longlands is approximately 50 minutes away from Junction 27 of the M5. There is parking on site.

Spa treatments will be available to pre book for either Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon
Louise offers a range of therapies including massage, relexology, reiki or aromatherapy. We will send you details a month before your retreat date.

Wine, other than on your first evening
We have a selection of wines, beers and ciders available to buy from the Longlands Larder, the on-site shop, if you wish.
